Perché la Moda

Perché la Moda

Perché la moda means “why fashion” in Italian. Some of you may be wondering why we have decided to create a blog focusing on fashion. Well fashion, to me, has great power. Fashion varies from person to person but that is the great thing about fashion, it is a great way for people to express themselves. As a young girl, I went to a catholic school with a very strict uniform policy. We were very seldomly allowed to wear what we called “casual clothes”.  Fast forward to high school, there was no uniform policy so I was able to wear what I wanted, this is when I noticed fashion the most. I noticed everyone wore whatever represented them, what they felt most comfortable in, and I loved that.

Fashion allows individuals to express themselves without saying a word. We often see this on the run way. All the unique pieces that designers make with such amazing inspiration behind them, it is honestly so beautiful.  It is always interesting seeing how fads constantly change as time goes on. It is also interesting watching some of these trends recycle themselves. Within the past few years, we have seen 90’s fashion make its way back with the high waisted bottoms, rock band t-shirts, scrunchies, vibrant make-up, etc. It’s beautiful seeing people create their own twist of these trends and even creating their own.

So why fashion? Well to me it gives others an opportunity to express who they are within their own comfort zone. Fashion is it own art and is a great way to be yourself and show others who you are.

BE BOLD, LOVE WHAT YOU WEAR, AND WEAR IT WITH CONFIDENCE!

xoxo
